Miranda was born in Buckinghamshire and as long as she can remember, she has always loved to be outdoors.  Much of her early childhood was spent at the top of an old copper beech tree in her parents' garden or walking barefoot in the local woods. Her passion for wildlife started early on by observing animals in the wild and keeping a veritable menagerie at home in the laundry room!

She was educated at school in Reading and went onto study Zoology at Bristol University. From here, she caught the wildlife filmmaking bug and even before graduating, secured work at the BBC Natural History Unit. Moving from Runner to Researcher, she worked at other production companies in Bristol before a lucky break into presenting in 1998 for Fox Television. This first opportunity enabled her to travel and present conservation stories from around the globe. From this, she moved onto presenting projects as diverse as metals detecting, local history and marine conservation.
She hopes to convey her passion for wildlife conservation and the environment through her work as a presenter.
